Your Personal Data
What we need
NCR will be what is known as the “Controller” of the personal data you provide to us. We only collect basic personal data about, including your name, address, email address, contact telephone numbers, National Insurance number and bank account details and other personal financial information.
Why we need it
We need your basic personal data to enter into a car hire agreement with you. We may use this information while undertaking a credit check through our service providers for anti-money laundering (AML) compliance and identity verification and validation checks. We will not collect any personal data from which we do not need to provide the agreed service to you.
What we do with it
All the personal data we process is processed by our own staff or contractors in Namibia. No third parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so. We have a Privacy Policy in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data. More information can be found on our website, or we can send a copy of our Privacy Policy to you on request.
How long we keep it
We are required by law to keep your basic personal data for a minimum of 5 years following the termination of the rental agreement. When the relevant time period has expired your personal data may be destroyed. Your information we use for marketing purposes will be retained until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
What we would also like to do with it
We would however like to use your name, postal address and email address to inform you of specials or other events which may be of interest to you and to send you our newsletter. You can choose to no longer receive such communications from us at any time by contacting us via letter, email or via our website. Please indicate below if this is something you would like to sign up to. If you do not tick the box we will not be able to send you our newsletter or information about matters which may be of interest to you.

What are your rights?
If at any time you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you may request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint about how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer who will investigate the matter. If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data otherwise than in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
